April 27, 2025

वैचारिक एकता व् सांस्कृतिक महासंमेलन २०२५
On 27 April 2025, a remarkable Vaicharik ane Sanskrutik Maha Sammelan (Ideological and Cultural Grand Convention) was successfully organized at Jawhar, Palghar district, Maharashtra, India. This full-day event brought together members of the Kokana, Kukani, Kokani, and Kunbi (Dang) communities from Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
The Mahasammelan stood as a powerful platform for community unity, cultural preservation, and progressive social dialogue, where people from different regions gathered under one shared identity.
A Platform for Thoughtful Dialogue and Cultural Preservation
The core objective of the Mahasammelan was to encourage open discussions on preserving indigenous Kokani–Adivasi culture, while also re-examining culturally incorrect or outdated rituals. Community leaders, elders, youth, and social thinkers shared their views on:
-
Protecting traditional values and language
-
Removing harmful or misleading social practices
-
Introducing positive reforms for a better way of living
-
Guiding the younger generation with knowledge and awareness
These discussions reflected a collective desire to move forward without losing cultural roots.

This effort was widely appreciated as a step toward organized community growth.

A Mesmerizing Cultural and Spiritual Experience
The cultural segment of the event was truly divine and unforgettable. The entire gathering was blessed by Mauli Devi, with traditional rituals performed by local Kokani people.
The prayer ceremony dedicated to Mauli Devi created a spiritual atmosphere filled with devotion, unity, and cultural pride. The traditional rituals, music, attire, and collective participation made the moment mesmerizing and deeply emotional for everyone present.
A Memorable Step Toward a Better Future
The Kokana–Kukani–Kokani–Kunbi Mahasammelan at Jawhar was more than just an event—it was a movement toward awareness, unity, and progress. By combining culture, education, social reform, and spirituality, the Mahasammelan set a strong example of how communities can evolve while staying rooted in tradition.
Such initiatives play a vital role in shaping a better, informed, and united future for the Adivasi society.
